FAQs

Are you stalking me? Because that would be super.

What’s your day job?
That’s a great question that I wish I could summarize quickly. Lol. I’m a law school student at Hofstra School of Law. I work as a law clerk part time in a private law firm. I do some remote reading for a literary agent. I sometimes teach Indian dance to kids. I’m a freelance editor for writers who need some additional guidance on their manuscript. Most importantly, I’m a writer!

When did you start writing?
I used to put together novels in elementary school. I’d color the covers and draw pictures. I wrote sequels to my favorite children books and later, to my favorite young adult books. When I really got into a steady obsession with reading, I’d write continuations to the Nancy Drew mysteries that I piled on my bedside table. The short answer? A long time ago.

What advice do you have for other writers who want to get published?
I’m not the almighty voice of reason on this subject, but I can tell you what I’ve been told and what I’ve experienced: Read what you want to write, and write what you want to write. Trial and error is the name of the game. Practice makes perfect. Do what you love and love what you do. Read my quotes section under ‘for writers’ to see what some other authors say about the craft.

I have this great story idea. Can you read/write it for me?
Alas, no. Sorry. I have my own ideas and stories. As you can already tell, I’m a busy woman! If you do want someone to read your stuff, form your own critique group and read each other’s work. And sorry again, but I already have my own critique group.
